Although no consta a specific historical association between the icon of Hoshiv and the prayer of the Rosary, this Marian prayer is theologically understood as a way of to contemplate the mysteries of Christ in the hand of Mary, which deeply harmonizes with the sense of the icon of the type Odighitria: the Mother of God who points to the Son and leads the faithful to Him. In this way, the Rosary can successfully accompany the devotion to Our Lady of Hoshiv, in continuity with the tradition of the universal Church.
