Link to the Rosary
As regards Rosary, there is no specific historical relationship in the sources consulted between the advocation of Our Lady of Krušedol and the prayer of the Rosary in the Latin Catholic sense. The spirituality of the monastery is that of the Orthodox Churchwhere the central Marian prayer is the song of hymns (Akáthistos, Paraclysis, Theotokion) and the repetition of the Prayer of Jesus with the komboskini, rather than the Rosary structured in mysteries.
However, from a Catholic Marian perspective, it is possible to contemplate the figure of Bogorodica de Krušedol in deep harmony with the Rosary: the joyful, painful, glorious and luminous mysteries allow us to meditate on the same economy of salvation that the Orthodox tradition contemplates in the icons of the Mother of God and in the Marian parties. Where the Catholic faithful come spiritually to this advocation, the Rosary can be a privileged way of joining the veneration of the Mother of God who lives in Krušedol, in communion respectful of the faith and tradition of the Orthodox Christians.
