The shrine of the Virgin of the Carrodilla rises on a mountain above Stateway, in the Somontano. The Virgin is the patron of the villa and is invoked in Aragon as the patron and protector of the vineyards and the winegrowers, because of the link of the region with the glass.
Tradition places the apparition of the image towards the end of the 13th century; a story of the field of popular piety. His devotion is expressed in romanies and parties, with strong wine roots.
