Origin and history
In the sources consulted (ecclesial directories, diocese documentation, Catholic press and Marian repertories), there is no registered diocese or cathedral in an "Arecibo, department of Arecibo, Colombia". It also does not know that in Colombia there exists a city called Arecibo, erected as an episcopal seat with official Marian patronage under the title of Our Lady of Consolation. However, there is a Reparaciones en Puerto Ricowith its cathedral dedicated to San Felipe Apó Astiwhere a rich Marian life is documented, but the sources do not clearly identify "Our Lady of Consolation" as official Marian co-patron of the territory.
La advocación de Our Lady of Consolation is strongly spread in the field agostinian and agostino recoletwhere the Virgin is venerated as Mother of Consolation and the Holy Correa, patron of the Order of Agustinos Recoletos since 1926. This devotion has spread to various countries in Latin America, including Colombia, through houses and parishes entrusted to the avocados and avocados recoletos. It is historically credible that devotion to Consolation has also reached communities of Colombian emigrants (such as in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where there are businesses identified with Colombia), but in the document that a specific Marian sanctuary or a title of formal Marian co-patronage has been erected under this title in a "Colombian Arecibo."
From the perspective of the general tradition From the advocation, many devotions to the Consolation go back to the experience of Mary as a Mother who accompanies and comforts the foot of the cross (cf. Jn 19: 25-27) and to the title of Christ as "Consoler." Some Augustinian branches link this veneration to the symbolic use of the agustiniana kit, sign of Marian consecration and protection. However, These traditions are of a general nature and cannot be attributed with certainty, in a specific way, to an alleged local advocation in "Arecibo (Colombia)" for lack of concrete historical testimony.

The image and the sanctuary
The description of a concrete image of Our Lady of Consolation venerated as Marian co-patron in a cathedral of "Arecibo, Colombia." A Marian sanctuary or a title of minor basilica under this advocation in a place with that name.
In Colombia, the most widespread image of Our Lady of Consolation is usually the one of tradition agustinian and agustine recoleta: an image of the Virgin Mary, often in size or devotional picture, often associated with the Holy Correa or to the Augustinian symbolology. However, sources do not make it possible to claim that there is a image holder Propiawith unique iconographic characteristics, officially linked to a city called Arecibo in Colombia.
With regard to the "sanctuary / temple where it is venerated (official name, characteristics)," no consta a temple recognized by the Episcopal Conference of Colombia or a local diocese as "Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Consolation of Arecibo (Colombia)." Any more specific description of architecture, style or canonical category (diocesan, national, basilica, etc.) would be speculative and should therefore be omitted.

Sponsorship and coronation
En lo referente al patronazgois not included in official documentation (episcopates, diocesan yearbook, particular legislation) that Our Lady of Consolation has been formally proclaimed Marian co-patron of a diocese or city called Arecibo in Colombia. In Colombia there is a deep-rooted presence of devotion to Consolation in the field of Agustin Recollectswhere the Virgin of Consolation is Patron of the Order since 1926, but that patronage is of a character religious (de familia religious) and not civil or diocesan.
As for a canonical coronation of an image of Our Lady of Consolation as the holder of a sanctuary or of a city called Arecibo in Colombia, does not contain a documented canonical coronation. Canonical coronations are often recorded by the Holy See, the dioceses or the ecclesial press; the absence of these references for the particular case requires that the maximum prudence be maintained.

Party and devotion
La liturgical feast of Our Lady of Consolation, in the Augustine and Augustine tradition, is celebrated on dates set by the calendars of the Order; in some houses and communities the Virgin of Consolation is especially remembered as the patron of the collecting family. However, no consta an official and own date of patronal feast specifically linked to an advocation of "Nuestra Señora de la Consolación de Arecibo (Colombia)" with diocesan or national recognition.
In the Colombian context, devotion to this advocation is often lived in environments Parish or conventual linked to the agstines, by Novies, solemn eucharisties, belt imposition, personal consecration and prayer of the Rosary. It is reasonable to assume similar practices where there is a devout Colombian presence of the Consolation abroad (for example, Colombian communities in Arecibo, Puerto Rico), but No verifiable data about pilgrimages, inflow or popular traditions of a sanctuary in a "Colombian Arecibo."

Link to the Rosary
The sources consulted do not describe a specific and documented link between an alleged advocation of "Our Lady of the Consolation of Arecibo (Colombia)" and the prayer of the Rosary (for example, particular promises, co-fradies of the Rosary canonically erected under this title, own indulgences, etc.). No consta, therefore, a uniquely encoded relationship with the Rosary for this local advocation.
However, from the perspective of the Marian spiritualityThe Virgin of Consolation, as venerated in the Augustinian tradition, is understood as a Mother who accompanies in pain and strengthens in hope. The Rosary is presented in this framework as a privileged prayer for to contemplate the mysteries of Christ's life with Maryespecially those who speak of the cross, suffering and resurrection, in which the Virgin appears as comfort of the afflicted. In any community where Mary is invoked as Our Lady of Consolationthe prayer of the Rosary can be understood as fireplace cotidiano de confianceby which the faithful join the Mother who intercedes, comforts and leads to Christ, true Consoler.
