Origin and history
Diang es uno de los centros cristianos más antiguos de Bangladesh, con raíces en el siglo XVII. Su gruta mariana, levantada a mediados del siglo XX por el hermano canadiense Flavian Laplante (Siervo de Dios), es hoy el «Mariam Ashram», que celebra más de cincuenta peregrinaciones marianas al año.
