Our Lady of Setefilla
"La Serranita Hermosa" · Lora del Río (Sevilla)
In the saw, next to the old castle of Setefilla, the "Serranita Hermosa," patron of Lora del Río, has been venerated for more than seven centuries, to whose sanctuary the Loreños go up the "Way of the Virgin."

Origin and history
The shrine is a 15th century Mudejar temple, extended in the 18th century, built next to the old castle of Setefilla, a Muslim fortress named by Alfonso X, in a long-occupied area (Iberian, Roman, Islamic). The Order of St. John of Jerusalem dedicated its primal temple there, for which he ordered to sculpt at the beginning of the 14th century an image of the Virgin of about 71 cm.
From the Middle Ages, the depopulated of Setefilla and then the village of Lora del Río held a vow and intense devotion to this image, recognized for its fame of graces. Tradition speaks of the finding of the image next to a well behind the Reconquist, a story today considered legend over the data on the medieval Sanjuanist image. She is the patron of Lora del Río, her "Serranita Hermosa."
