Marian devotion
Origin and history
Skálholt was the first diocese of Iceland (1056) and, throughout the Middle Ages, the religious heart of the island.
Link to the Rosary
In this land where faith has known centuries, trials, and resurgences, the Rosary remains the simple thread that unites our hearts with Mary. To pray it here is to join the generations who, through this same devotion, entrusted their lives, their communities, and their hope to the Mother.
