Origin and history
En el «Santo Montecillo» sobre Olomouc se alza la monumental basílica barroca de la Visitación. Su origen está en una promesa: el comerciante de vino Jan Andrýsek, tras aparecérsele la Virgen en sueños, prometió levantarle una capilla, germen del gran santuario de peregrinación de Moravia.
Party and devotion
It is one of the great Marian pilgrimage places of Chequia; John Paul II raised it to the lower basilica.
