Origin and history

The monastery of Treskavec, embodied in the mountain over Prilep, is dedicated to the Sleeping (Asunción) of the Mother of God. Built in the XII-XIII centuries on a Paleocrist temple and enriched by King Milutin in the XIV century, it retains a remarkable collection of Byzantine frescoes. It is a venerated place of Marian mountain pilgrimage in Orthodox tradition.

Link to the Rosary

In this land where faith has known centuries, trials, and resurgences, the Rosary remains the simple thread that unites our hearts with Mary. To pray it here is to join the generations who, through this same devotion, entrusted their lives, their communities, and their hope to the Mother.
