Origin and history
En Kista, al norte de Estocolmo, se erigió en la iglesia católica siríaca de los Santos Mártires un santuario dedicado a María, Madre de los Cristianos Perseguidos, inaugurado por el cardenal Anders Arborelius, arzobispo de Estocolmo. Refleja la viva devoción mariana de las comunidades cristianas de Oriente Medio emigradas a Suecia, que confían a la Madre a sus hermanos que sufren por la fe.
