His life

Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa was born in 1928 in Japan. She became deaf in one ear at the age of 20. She entered the Convent of the Servants of the Eucharist in Akita.

The apparitions

In 1973, the Virgin Mary appeared to her three times in the convent. The Virgin asked her for prayer and penance, and revealed prophetic messages about the future of the Church.

The messages

The Virgin said: "If people do not repent, God will punish humanity with a punishment worse than the flood. Fire will fall from the sky and wipe out a large part of humanity."

The miracle of the statue

A statue of the Virgin Mary in the convent began to bleed, sweat, and weep. The phenomenon was investigated by the Church and declared supernatural in 1984.
