White scapular with the red and blue cross of the Trinity Order, born of the vision of St. John of Mata.
Documented history and memory received
The Order of the Most Holy Trinity and the Causes was founded by St. John of Mata and approved by Innocent III in 1198. His habit and white scapular carry the red and blue cross, a sign of identity of a mission of worship and release of captives. The foundational vision is labeled as the tradition of the Order; the colors do not come from armies or provide material protection.
Who venerates the memory
The look is directed to Jesus Christ and to the mystery of his Incarnation, Passion, Death, Resurrection or Reign. The image, relic, monument or custom does not act by its own power: it serves the memory of the Gospel and leads to prayer, sacraments, conversion and charity.
History, tradition and discernment
Documented order and charism; chromatic vision and symbolism are presented according to their own tradition. The tab retains the memory received without turning legend, witness or believing interpretation into a historically demonstrated fact.
