Ninth to Our Lady of the Almudena
Nine days of prayer with Santa María de la Almudena, Patrona de Madrid, whose image was found by singular providence in the old wall of the villa. His party is held 9 November; the ninth is traditionally prayed of 31 October-8 Novemberbut it can be done at any time.
How you pray every day: the sign of the Holy Cross → the act of contrition ("My Lord Jesus Christ...") → the preparatory prayer for every day → the prayer of the day with the request of grace → three Avemarias preceded by the "Blessed is the time when your miraculous image appeared on the wall of the Almudena" → the final prayer.

Holy Mary of the Almudena, Mother of God and our Mother: look with mercy to your faithful children who come to venerate your image, found by unique providence and devotion in the ancient wall of Madrid; we pray to you in our souls the purest love for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so that we can be faithful to the graces received in Baptism and achieve by your intercession the eternal bliss in Heaven. Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary
Immaculate Virgin Mary! That you were chosen by the Most Holy Trinity to be the Mother of Jesus Christ, and preserved from the original sin from the first moment of your Conception, by the merits of Christ your Son and Savior of the human race, we pray that by your intercession we will be clean from all sin and, by practicing the virtues of your Most Holy life, we will reach the eternal prizes. Nativity of the Virgin Mary
Excellent Daughter of the Eternal Father! That with your birth the whole creation was rejoiced, for God did wonders in you, to be the Mother of our Redeemer; that, having appeared your sacred image of the Almudena, the people of Madrid are continually born to the life of grace for prayer and sacraments, I acclaim you as Mother and Advocate in the needs, both material and spiritual, and flourish in their faith and good customs. Third day
Presentation of the Virgin Mary in the Temple
Oh, sweet Virgin Mary! That with your Holy Name you are the star of the Seas and the peace of every walker. And that, according to tradition, you were presented by your parents in the Temple for the glory of God; we beseech you to follow the example of your virtues, consecrating our life to the service of God and to the good of our neighbor, and often invoking the name of Mary of the Almudena to be our help in temptations and dangers. Fourth day
Annunciation of the Angel to Our Lady
Sculpture of the Lord! That you were chosen by God to be a virginal Mother of the Eternal Word made man, our Lord Jesus Christ, and accepted him with humility and wisdom as desired by divine Providence; make us live with humility our own Christian vocation, being obedient to divine and faithful inspirations to our state of life. Visit of the Virgin Mary to Santa Isabel
Immaculate Heart of Mary! With the visit to your cousin, Elizabeth, she was filled with the Holy Spirit, sanctified in her bosom John the Baptist and proclaimed that you are "the blessed one among all women," for she is the Mother of the Lord; we ask you that by the visit of your Image of the Almudena to this Villa in Madrid, our families be sanctified as was the case with that of Zechariah, living in peace and joy every day and events of our life. Motherhood of the Virgin Mary
Mother of God and Mother of the Church! Blessed is the day that the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, was born from you in the cave of Bethlehem. Happy also the day your Holy Image came to this Villa in Madrid and was later found in one of its walls; for since then we have not ceased to acclaim you for Mother, Patron and Lady, waiting for you to be our help in the diseases and our joy on the way to life. Seventh day
Purification of the Virgin Mary
Blessed Virgin Mary! Being "full of grace" by the Holy Spirit, you went to Jerusalem with St. Joseph to offer the sacrifice commanded by the Law of Moses and to present in the temple the Child Jesus, the Savior of the world, make us also obedient to the Laws of the Church and offer our life with humility to illuminate souls with faith and dispel the darkness of sin with the love that Christ taught us. The Dolores of Our Lady
Oh, Mother Dolorosa! How much you suffered by seeing your Son Jesus Christ suffer in some moments of his life, especially by being at the foot of the Cross and by remembering the words of the old Simeon: "A sword will pass through your soul"; we pray that our hearts will join your Immaculate Heart, to cooperate in the redemption of the man Jesus Christ made with his Passion and Resurrection. Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin
Virgin, Mother and Queen Santa Maria the Real of the Almudena! We are filled with joy in knowing that you are in Heaven in body and soul, crowned as Queen and Lady of all that is created, "for by looking to the Lord the humility of his Slave they will call you blessed every generation," we ask you to always show yourself Patron, Queen and Lady of Madrid, and to corate our life with the virtues of faith, hope and charity, to enjoy with you the vision of God in Heaven. Closing prayer for every day
God Almighty and Eternal, animated by the love that Jesus Christ showed us on the Cross and strengthened by the grace of the Holy Spirit; we ask that the name of the Virgin Mary of the Almudena be always praised and that by her intercession we live Christian charity, to enjoy the heavenly glory eternally.
