- Caacupé — patrona de Paraguay; según la tradición, el indígena converso José, perseguido por los mbayás, se escondió tras un árbol y prometió tallar una imagen de la Virgen si se salvaba: de ese tronco salió la «Virgen de los Milagros».
- Virgen del Paso (Itapé) — su imagen cruzó milagrosamente el río Tebicuary en crecida, vivido como protección de la Virgen sobre las aguas.
- Virgen de los Pobres de Itacuá (Encarnación) — protectora de pescadores y navegantes del río Paraná.
