Gowns of the Blood of Christ venerated in a basilica that imitates the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
Documented history and memory received
According to tradition, Cardinal Eudes of Châteauroux brought from the Holy Land drops of the Precious Blood and donated them about 1257 to Neuvy. The basilica is a replica of the roundabout of the Holy Sepulchre. Every Easter Monday is the procession of the Precious Blood.
Who venerates the memory
The look is directed to Jesus Christ and to the mystery of his Incarnation, Passion, Resurrection or Salvating Presence. The image, attributed relic, monument or custom does not act by its own power: it serves the memory of the Gospel and leads to prayer, sacraments, conversion and charity.
History, tradition and discernment
Current Catholic Pilgrimage and documented custody; the identification of drops with the Blood of Christ belongs to the tradition received. The record retains the full memory received, but does not convert a tradition, a witness or a believing interpretation into a historically demonstrated fact.
Celebration and devotional life

No particular promises are documented. Devotion is lived within the Christian faith and not as an automatic guarantee of protection, healing or prosperity.
