Rosary for the dying
Pray for us, now and at the time of our death.
meditated rosaryEvery Avemaria we pray ends up asking Mary to pray for us "at the time of our death." That is why the Rosary is a prayer especially close to those who this very day approach the end of their lives. To pray for the dying is not a bleak gesture, but an act of serene trust: we put in the hands of the Mother those who pass through this life, sure that she awaits and accompanies them towards the embrace of God.
How to pray it
Pray the Holy Rosary as usual - sign of the Cross, Creed, and every mystery with his Father, ten Avemarias and Gloria. Before you start, do the initial prayer; in every ten, you welcome the proposed intention; at the end, the final prayer. If you want to pray it guided step by step, enter into Begin the Rosary.

Mysteries and meditations
Sorrowful Mysteries — for this intention:
In the face of near death, Jesus prays with anguish and is abandoned in the Father. Whoever faces his last hour finds here someone who felt that same fear and was not left alone.
Jesus, wounded and abandoned by almost all, shares the solitude of those who die without anyone holding hands. For them we pray, that they may feel a company that the world does not see.
Coronado with pain, Jesus does not lose his dignity or hope. We ask for those who leave without the sacraments, that the mercy of God may also reach those who could not receive it.
In his last way, Jesus is comforted by his Mother. Mary comes to meet the agonizers who did not believe or did not know how to believe, so that in their final hour they will discover a face that loves them.
"Father, in your hands I entrust my spirit." Jesus teaches us to die by fully trusting. We ask, for ourselves, that serene delivery when the time comes.
