The remains of the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Gracia are preserved about four kilometres from La Fresneda, in the province of Teruel. The point of the map corresponds to the ruined building identified by OpenStreetMap; the heritage source of the Aragon Government places the sanctuary in La Fresneda.
Documented history
The Aragon Government documents a first hermitage raised in the concavity of a cave. Around 1580, La Fresneda donated the land and the church to the Minimos of San Francisco de Paula. In 1795 a larger church was built to host the original chapel. The sanctuary was built in the 18th century and today, with different degrees of deterioration, parts of the church and of the host are preserved. Decree No. 326 / 2001 of 4 December 2001 declared the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Gracia in La Fresneda to be Good of Cultural Interest in the category of Monument.
Tradition
The heritage source relates the origin of the sanctuary to the apparition of the Virgin to a pasture of Valjunquera. It does not give name, date or ecclesial record of that experience; it is therefore presented as a tradition and not as a proven supernatural fact.
Legend
The institutional source does not contain an additional legendary narrative that can be safely exposed.
Ecclesial State
The set is protected as Good of Cultural Interest in the category of Monument. The sources consulted do not contain a formal pronunciation on the supernatural of the account of apparition, and property protection is not interpreted as approval of that account.
Anecdotes and stories
The architectural study cited by the Government of Aragon allows to recognize in the remains of the church a plant of three ships, straight header and shrimp of the Virgin. The host came to have rectangular plant and four heights, although today it barely retains its loading walls.
Prayer
Virgin of Grace, Mother of Jesus, pray for those who visit this place and accompany the communities of La Fresneda and Valjunquera. Lead us to Christ and help us respond with faith, prudence and charity. Amen.

Documentary extension
Aragón's heritage inventory describes the origin of the whole in a modest hermitage excavated in the concavity of a cave. By 1580, La Fresneda donated the land and the church to the Minimos of San Francisco de Paula; in 1795 a larger church was erected to host the original chapel. The host and other parts of the set are now very fragmented, so the marker identifies the mapped remains and not an intact building.
The declaration of the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Grace as Good of Cultural Interest, category of Monument, protects its historical and architectural value. It does not amount to a pronunciation about the apparition of the pasture of Valjunquera: this narrative remains in the section of tradition and there is no formal ecclesial judgment here about its supernatural.
