According to tradition, a consecrated host stolen and hidden between vegetation was miraculously found by the glow that emanated from it.

Documented history and memory received

San Pietro a Patierno, today the district of Naples, retains an 18th century narrative of stolen hostias that were found after extraordinary signs. The parish and the local Eucharistic memory are real, but the inventory exaggerated the degree of documentation of the prodigy. It is presented as a devotional tradition, without affirming tissue conservation, scientific approval or supernatural punishment of those responsible.

Who venerates the memory

The look is directed to Jesus Christ and to the mystery of his Incarnation, Passion, Death, Resurrection or Reign. The image, relic, monument or custom does not act by its own power: it serves the memory of the Gospel and leads to prayer, sacraments, conversion and charity.

History, tradition and discernment

Parish memory presented as tradition, not as scientific recognition. The tab retains the memory received without turning legend, witness or believing interpretation into a historically demonstrated fact.

Celebration and devotional life

Festivity or main time: Eucharistic Commemoration of Patierno.

No automatic promise or prodigy guarantee is documented. Eucharistic veneration leads to mass, veneration, conversion, reparation of damage and charity.
