The Most Holy Trinity of Almaty and its Virgin Grotto
The Catholic Cathedral of Almaty is dedicated to the Most Holy Trinity and is the seat of the diocese erected in 2003, suffranea of the archdiocese of Mary Most Holy in Astana. In its enclosure, a stone grotto welcomes an image of the Virgin with the "Hail Mary" written in Russian, Latin and Kazakh.

- The community was apostolic administration since 1999 and diocese since 17 May 2003; its bishop since 2011 is the Spanish José Luis Mumbiela Sierra.
- The Marian Grotto of the enclosure, with the Hail Mary in three languages, is the most beloved corner of prayer of the faithful.
