Advocación mariana de Forcall (Comunitat Valenciana)

Acute root advocation spread over the XIII-XIV centuries. The hermite crown a hill between the Caldés and Bergantes rivers. There was continuous hermit from 1624 to 1936. The current building dates from 1783, of Renaissance style. The parties include their own procedural dances: dels dansans, of the gitanets, dels negrets or les varetes, dels llauradors and les llauradoretes. According to the Augustinian tradition, the Virgin appeared to Santa Monica to comfort her and gave her the strap of the Order's habit. Note: Consolació that some misattribute to Vila- real corresponds in fact to Forcall; Vila- real venera to the Mare de Déu de Gràcia.
