History
The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart was built between 1898 and 1954 in the Gothic Revival style. It is the fifth largest church in the United States and the largest cathedral in New Jersey. Designated a minor basilica in 1995, its 67-meter spire dominates the Newark skyline.
