The five stages

1
The Immaculate Conception
Cathedral of Seville · December 8

Patrona de España y de las Indias (Charles III, 1760). Seville, the city of the conceptual vote, opens the way with the most beloved dogma of the Spanish faith: Mary, full of grace. Prayer to the Immaculate.

2
Our Lady of Guadalupe
Monastery of Guadalupe, Cáceres · September 8

"Queen of Hispanity." The Catholic Kings and Colon prayed before this extreme Morenita before and after the discovery of America; the first indigenous people were baptized here. Living memory of the encounter of two worlds under the mantle of Mary.

3
Our Lady of Almudena
Cathedral of Madrid · November 9

Patrona de Madrid, found - according to tradition - in the wall (the almudayna) after centuries hidden. Marian heart of the capital. Their story.

4
Our Lady of the Pillar
Basilica of the Pilar, Zaragoza · 12 October

Patron of Hispanity and Aragon. On the column where, according to tradition, the Virgin appeared to Santiago, the heart of the Spanish and American faith beats. Their story.

5
Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Marine locations (Cadiz, Cartagena, Bilbao, A Coruña...) · July 16

Star of the sea and patron of the sailors and the Navy. Close the route by looking at the ocean that brought Marian devotion to America. Their story.

To live the way

In each stage: pray a ten of the Rosary before the image, offers the day for an intention and, if you want, leaves a rose in the Rosary Garden. You can do it in two weeks or by sections throughout the year, coinciding with the big parties.

"Mary keeps nothing for herself: she brings everything to Jesus. Also the faith that Spain led to the world."
Sources: patronage of the Immaculate (Charles III, 1760, Clement XIII); basilicas del Pilar, Almudena and Monastery of Guadalupe; tradition of Carmen and the people of the sea. Contrast data (consultation 9-6-2026).
