The Basilica of St. Joseph in Bardstown, Kentucky, is the former cathedral of the Archdiocese of Louisville. It was declared a minor basilica on July 18, 2001.

The Basilica of St. Joseph was the first Catholic cathedral west of the Alleghenies, consecrated in 1819. Bardstown was the first Catholic diocese in the western United States. Declared a minor basilica in 2001, it is a National Historic Landmark and one of the oldest Catholic churches in the country.
