Croatian Marian Advocations
Croatia venerates Mary as queen and mother of the nation. His heart is in María Bistricathe Black Virgin of the national sanctuary, and in the Gospa Sinjska, crowned after the victory over the Turks in 1715. The Gospa Trsatska de Rijeka - the first high of the Holy House of Loreto -, the patron of Zagreb at the Stone Gate and Baroque jewels of the Zagorje like Trški Vrh and Belec. The hidden Virgin, the one crowned by a victory and that of the fire:
- María Bistrica - The Black Virgin was hidden in 1545 before the Turks and rediscovered intact in 1588.
- Puerta de Piedra (Zagreb) - in the fire of 1731 that destroyed the high city, her image was intact among the ashes; she is the patron of Zagreb and her chapel is open day and night.
