Marian Advocations of Belgium

Belgium, the Catholic heart of Flanders and Valonia, was chosen by the Virgin for two of the most moved Marian apparitions of the 20th century: the Virgin of the Golden Heart of Beauraing y la Virgen de los Pobres de Banneux, both in 1932-1933. Your national sanctuary is Red-tailed shrimps (Montaigu), and throughout the country, ancient images like the Virgen Negra de Halle, la de Hanswijk en Malinas o la Virga Jesse from Hasselt. We pick them up here in the provinces.
