Marian Advocations of Slovakia
Slovakia has as its national employer the Virgin of the Seven Dolores (The Seven Painful Virgin Mary), venerated in the national basilica of Clown. Its Marian geography is divided between the Latin rite and the Greek-Byzantine Catholic: the great pilgrimage of Levoča, the oldest sanctuary in the country in Marianka, el paladio de Trnava, the piles of Old Mountains and the apparitions of Turbot y Litman. Tears, apparitions and the painful patron of a whole people:
- Clown - The Virgin of the Seven Dolores, patron of Slovakia, visited John Paul II (1995) and Pope Francis (2021).
